| How do we feel about SoP? |

Hello! I'm relatively new to the server, but I'm a sec main with like, 300 hours in sec alone. It's my favorite department! I love the push and pull of station life back and forth between antagonists, and non-antagonists! I personally came to Omu which has probably my favorite SOP, and I've played *SOME* Delta-V which is what I hear that our SoP is modified on.
Personally, I feel like our SoP right now is just a liiiiiiiiiiiittle bit too harsh. First, DV has the justice department. LOVE the Justice department. Great idea! Wish they had more responsibility, but I digress! Basically every time someone does a murder, or a round removal, or a terrorism, that's an automatic trial and the expected outcome lands somewhere between perma/execution. This is all well and good, because its like 20 minutes of good RP and silly shenanigans, and theres a lot of people to help facilitate it! On Byrd though, there's HALF the amount of player slots, and worse, one of those players is now being taken out of the game for potentially two straight hours as a punishment for being an antagonist. While I think some crimes should still be DNR/Perma on principle (mass bombing/terrorism, prevention of revival, that sort of thing) I think every murder having that kind of brutal expectation is too much. Space Station is a very silly game, and I think as of now, that very harsh reaction might limit that in the long run.
Side note, I also feel like SoP is kind of a mess, formatting wise. Having sec SoP being split among 7 different one page documents in like 4 categories is really, really hard to read. I also miss the omu/hardlight/funky thing of every single role in the game having a bespoke SoP page about their expectations, defining where their limits are and what kind of conduct they can and should not be active in. Stuff like defining the NTR as an OSHA officer, enforcing SoP and staying the hell away from sec work. The captain not being able to leave station. The Clown being immune to space law so long as its funny. It's great! You can pack in a lot of character and personality that way!
I think my ideal new SoP would be one based on Omus system with a lot of the rougher edges toned down, like magic being A/KoS and the really poor definitions on level of contraband. I also think it might clear up contraband classes (as to a new player, they are REALLY confusing.) I've also heard a lot of people talking about how wonderful Impstations is, though I've yet to see that much firsthand.
Anyway, what do you guys think>

Failed to connect to server:
Connect denled: You, or another user of this computer or connection, are banned from playing here.
You were banned by: "LukeZurg22"
The ban reason is: "Lobotomized player character, removed their brain, and replaced all whilst they were active and very not okay with it. This ban occured late in the morning. Feel free to appeal."
For context here and to be completely fair I saw the ability to lobotimize when doing a surgery got very excited, went and asked a courier if they would like to participate in a experimental procedure, lobotimized them offered to fix their brain, and put it into a braindead body. I understand why the ban happened, just looking to appeal because this server has peaked my interest and I would love to come back to it. Also pardon me if this isn't filed correctly I didn't really see any standard formatting and I havent exactly used to many forums before.

What would you like to be whitelisted in? (Roles/Server): Nanotrasen Career Trainer
Why do you want to be whitelisted for it? (Roles/Server): I've been playing SS14 for more than a year now, most of which has been spent on goob and goob forks such as omu. Throughout that I learned that SS14 has one of the LARGEST learning curves in any game I have played. When I first played SS14, even with 350+ hours in total on the game, I was still lost on many systems. One of the reasons I turned out to be a slow learner was the lack of direct teaching and training that I could have been exposed to.
Despite my shorter time within Byrd, I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours in omu, and already working up hours in departments such as security and medical within Byrd. Especially with the server rapidly growing, I believe one of the biggest steps in helping the community is to assist new players getting into roles, new command in leadership, and new security in Byrd's space law and security procedure.

What would you like to be whitelisted in? (Roles/Server): I'd like to be whitelisted for the Central Command Intern
Why do you want to be whitelisted for it? (Roles/Server): I've been interested in handling the paperwork and work of the CCI, and it reminds me of times i've gotten to play rounds as Interns on other servers.
